Blood pressure is never a static number.
It changes with every heartbeat.
BPER records the complete pulse-pressure curve – the events a single reading misses. Class IIa medical device.
Precision from a German algorithm
The algorithm built into the BPER chip was developed by our research team in Germany and is designed for precise, reliable measurements – even under difficult conditions.

“Think of BPER like a plaster or a defibrillator: as long as nothing happens, it stays quietly in the background — and when something does happen, it records exactly the data your doctor needs.”

Frequently asked questions
The key questions for understanding the BPER system.
How is the BPER system different from conventional blood pressure monitors?
Conventional monitors take a single reading. The BPER system measures beat to beat: it determines systolic and diastolic pressure for every heartbeat, which makes second-order blood pressure variability visible. Used at intervals, it lets you keep track over the course of the day. This reveals patterns and fluctuations that conventional readings would miss, and gives you and your healthcare provider a more complete picture of your cardiovascular health.
Will I notice a difference from a conventional monitor straight away?
That depends on your condition at the time of measurement. If your blood pressure is in a normal, stable range, you may not notice any difference. But as soon as even a slight irregularity occurs, BPER records the complete pressure and pulse curve that a single reading cannot capture. Think of BPER like a plaster or a defibrillator: as long as nothing happens, it stays in the background – and when something does happen, it records the entire course without gaps.
How accurate is the BPER system compared with clinical measurements?
The measurement accuracy of the BPER system has been tested in accordance with DIN EN ISO 81060-2, the international standard for the clinical validation of non-invasive blood pressure monitors.
Can BPER tell me exactly what is wrong with me?
No. BPER is not a diagnostic device – a diagnosis can only be made by a doctor. BPER is a measuring instrument for home use that records reliable data your doctor can use as part of their assessment.
Do I need a prescription to buy the BPER system?
No, the BPER system is available without a prescription. We do, however, always recommend sharing your readings with your healthcare provider as part of your overall care.
Do I have to wear it all day?
No. It is not a wearable but an event recorder. You measure when it makes sense – for example when you have symptoms, or to track the course over time.
How does the mobile app work with the BPER system?
The BPER system connects wirelessly to our mobile app (available for iOS and Android), which shows your real-time data, historical trends and personal insights. The app also lets you share reports directly with your healthcare provider and set up individual alerts.
Can I export the data?
Yes, as a PDF – and if you wish, by email directly to your doctor.
What battery life can I expect?
A fully charged battery lasts for approx. 72 measurements. A full charge takes about 90 minutes, and a quick charge to 50% takes just 30 minutes.
Is it suitable for older people?
Absolutely. Large buttons and simple menus (currently in German or English; more languages will follow via software update). The font size on the device itself follows medical standards and is therefore deliberately not at its maximum. For more comfortable reading, we recommend viewing your readings in the smartphone app.
Can several people use the device?
Yes. A single BPER can be used by several people. The device itself only stores readings and timestamps; personal details remain exclusively on each person’s smartphone. Several phones can pair with the same BPER, so everyone manages their own data separately. For privacy reasons, we recommend using it mainly within one household: one BPER per family is enough for everyone.
Is my health data safe with the BPER system?
Yes, we take data security very seriously. The BPER system uses end-to-end encryption for all data transfers, and data is processed in accordance with the GDPR. You always stay in control of who can access your data.
How long is the warranty for the BPER system?
The BPER system comes with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. If you wish, you can add extra protection with our extended warranty and premium support packages.
Why does my blood pressure fluctuate so much?
It is normal for blood pressure to fluctuate – it constantly responds to movement, stress, sleep, caffeine or temperature. It only becomes noteworthy when fluctuations are strong, sudden or irregular. A single reading only ever shows one moment. As an event recorder, BPER records the complete pulse-pressure curve.
What is second-order blood pressure variability?
Second-order blood pressure variability describes subtle changes in the pulse-pressure rhythm from one heartbeat to the next – beyond the slow fluctuations over the day. They only become visible when the continuous pressure curve is recorded rather than a single value. That is exactly what BPER’s beat-to-beat recording does.
